UPDATE: West Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw announced that a Secret Service agent noticed a rifle barrel protruding through a fence near former President Donald Trump’s residence.
The agent immediately engaged the suspect.
A nearby witness later saw the suspect fleeing the scene and captured a photo of the suspect’s vehicle.
According to Bradshaw, the incident unfolded around 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday when local authorities were alerted to gunfire by the Secret Service.
The witness provided crucial information, describing the suspect’s escape route and vehicle.
Law enforcement agencies used the witness’s information to track down the suspect, who was eventually apprehended by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
The witness was able to positively identify the individual.
The suspect in the alleged assassination attempt has not provided any information about their involvement, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw.

It is with great sadness that we share an update regarding the recent stabbing incident at the Amazon warehouse located in Berkeley, near Hazelwood.
The victim, identified as Kenny, has tragically succumbed to his injuries following the altercation that occurred Sunday evening at the facility on Springdale Avenue.
Law enforcement responded to reports of a stabbing at the Amazon warehouse situated in the 8800 block of Springdale Avenue.
The incident took place Sunday evening, prompting an immediate response from the Berkeley Police Department.
Initial reports indicated one individual had been stabbed during the altercation. Sadly, it has since been confirmed that the victim did not survive.
Amazon issued a statement addressing the incident, expressing their sorrow and commitment to supporting their employees:
“We’re saddened by this senseless act of violence and are focused on providing support for our employees at this time. We’ll defer to the Berkeley Police Department for additional information and continue to assist them with their investigation.”
The Berkeley Police Department remains at the scene, actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. Authorities have stated that additional details will be released as the investigation progresses.
