The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line was temporarily halted on the city’s North Side after a shooting incident involving a gunshot victim on a northbound train.

The initial disturbance was reported around 8:46 AM on a Red Line train departing the Argyle station.

Emergency services responded to the scene, and paramedics treated the victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the arm.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

Due to the police investigation, train service was suspended between Argyle and Broadway stations.

Shuttle buses were deployed to provide alternative transportation for affected riders.

Power was also cut off in both directions, leading to a bus substitution between Howard and Belmont stations.

As of now, the Chicago Police Department has not released any further details regarding the shooting incident.

Nashville, TN – A teenage boy is facing multiple charges, including homicide, after a shooting incident in Madison on Wednesday evening.

According to Metro Nashville Dispatch, a call was received just before 6:00 PM on October 16th from the 300 block of East Webster Street.

However, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) later determined that the shooting occurred on Gallavista Avenue.

Authorities reported that an 18-year-old, Micah Pruitt, and a 20-year-old man arrived at TriStar Skyline Medical Center shortly after 6:00 PM in a Toyota Camry riddled with bullet holes.

Pruitt was tragically pronounced dead at the hospital, while the 20-year-old, who had driven himself and Pruitt to the hospital, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

On Thursday, October 17th, 16-year-old Brayan Sandoval-Ortuno voluntarily presented himself to MNPD headquarters to provide a statement regarding Pruitt’s death.

Sandoval-Ortuno confessed to firing at Pruitt during a narcotics transaction, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges in Juvenile Court.

Sandoval-Ortuno faces charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault.

Additional details about the case have not been disclosed at this time.
