All-clear given after suspicious Tesla prompts temporary evacuation of American Dream mall

The American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey was temporarily evacuated on Tuesday evening due to a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking garage.

According to Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron of the New Jersey State Police, mall security observed a Tesla parked on the ground level of the C parking deck with the driver’s side door left open and unattended.

A K-9 sweep of the vehicle resulted in a positive alert, prompting the evacuation of the mall as a precautionary measure.

Additional K-9 units from Bergen County and the NJSP were brought in to conduct further sweeps, which also resulted in positive alerts.

The New Jersey State Police Bomb Unit and Bergen County Bomb Unit responded to the scene and thoroughly examined the vehicle, finding no indication of any explosive devices.

Following the thorough investigation, the mall was reopened to all employees and shoppers.

18-year-old Micah Pruitt killed after shooting during Madison drug deal, suspect arrested

Nashville, TN – A teenage boy is facing multiple charges, including homicide, after a shooting incident in Madison on Wednesday evening.

According to Metro Nashville Dispatch, a call was received just before 6:00 PM on October 16th from the 300 block of East Webster Street.

However, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) later determined that the shooting occurred on Gallavista Avenue.

Authorities reported that an 18-year-old, Micah Pruitt, and a 20-year-old man arrived at TriStar Skyline Medical Center shortly after 6:00 PM in a Toyota Camry riddled with bullet holes.

Pruitt was tragically pronounced dead at the hospital, while the 20-year-old, who had driven himself and Pruitt to the hospital, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

On Thursday, October 17th, 16-year-old Brayan Sandoval-Ortuno voluntarily presented himself to MNPD headquarters to provide a statement regarding Pruitt’s death.

Sandoval-Ortuno confessed to firing at Pruitt during a narcotics transaction, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges in Juvenile Court.

Sandoval-Ortuno faces charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault.

Additional details about the case have not been disclosed at this time.
