Houston, TX – A joyous block party in northeast Houston turned tragic on September 14, 2024, when a drive-by shooting left two people dead and nine others injured.
The incident occurred on Laura Koppe Road at Lockwood Drive, where a large crowd had gathered for a celebration. A white pickup truck drove by and opened fire on the crowd, resulting in the deaths of two Black males in their 20s.
The family of one of the victims identified him as 23-year-old Breon Stuard. Police reported that the other victim was a man in his early 20s.
Nine other individuals were injured, either from gunshot wounds or while trying to escape the chaos. Investigators discovered evidence of multiple weapons used in the attack, as two different types of shell casings were found at the scene.
The truck involved in the shooting was last seen heading west on Laura Koppe Road towards I-59. Authorities are actively working to obtain surveillance footage from nearby businesses and homes to identify the suspects.

Family Seeks Answers After Maryland Woman Found Deceased in Abandoned Cleveland Home
The family of Reyna Dunlap is seeking answers after she was found deceased in an abandoned home in Cleveland, Ohio. Her mother, Karen Lesley Walker, is pleading for information, stating that her daughter did not have a known history of drug use and was originally from Maryland.
According to Walker, she has no information on where her daughter was staying in the months of November and December, nor any understanding of why she was in Cleveland at the time of her death.
Dunlap’s personal belongings, including her phone, wallet, and identification, were missing from the scene, leaving her family desperate for answers.
In an emotional appeal, Walker expressed her heartbreak and urged the public for assistance. “My daughter was found alone with no phone or personal items. I have no idea why she was in Cleveland or where she had been staying. Please, if anyone has any information, I need your help,” she stated.
Carmen L. Golden-Walker, a family member, also called for support, requesting prayers and assistance in sharing Dunlap’s story. “My heart is broken. I’m asking all my prayer warriors to uplift our family with hope, peace, and strength as my sister-in-love searches for answers about the unexpected loss of her daughter, my niece, Reyna Dunlap,” Golden-Walker wrote. “She was full of life and had so much ahead of her. We are seeking any information that could help us understand what happened.”
Dunlap, a native of the Washington, D.C./Maryland area, was found without identification or any means of communication, further deepening the mystery surrounding her death.
Her family is asking anyone with information or connections in the Cleveland area to come forward and help shed light on the circumstances that led to this tragic discovery.
“We are grateful for any assistance during this devastating time,” the family stated.
