Daryl Brett Breland killed in hit-and-run incident on Westheimer Road in Houston
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene without providing aid.
Houston Police Department (HPD) is investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred on Westheimer Road on Monday night, October 28th, 2024.
The victim, identified as Daryl Brett Breland, was struck and killed while crossing the eastbound lanes of Westheimer Road near the 9701 block.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene without providing aid.
HPD’s Hit and Run Unit is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 713-247-4072.
The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office has officially identified the victim of a recent shooting as 49-year-old Cami T. Luc, a resident of Reno.
Her death has been classified as a homicide.
The incident occurred on February 18, 2025, when officers from the Reno Police Department responded to an apartment complex on South Meadows Parkway.
Upon arrival, police discovered Luc deceased at the scene.
Following an investigation, 50-year-old Jarrod Farrar was arrested and charged with murder.
Authorities confirmed that Farrar and Luc were in a relationship at the time of the incident.
The case remains under active investigation.
