Fight broke out a short time ago after Michigan Wolverines pulls off huge upset over Ohio State Buckeye
Following the Michigan Wolverines’ dramatic 13-10 upset victory over the No. 2-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, emotions boiled over in a chaotic postgame altercation at midfield.
The incident unfolded as Michigan players celebrated their triumph in the high-stakes rivalry matchup by attempting to plant their signature maize-and-blue ‘M’ flag at the center of the Buckeyes’ field.
This celebratory act sparked tensions, leading to players from both teams converging at midfield in a heated exchange filled with shoving and shouting.
Reports from the scene indicate that Michigan players were pepper-sprayed during the scuffle, adding another layer of controversy to the postgame melee.
Among the notable moments of the altercation, Ohio State defensive standout Jack Sawyer was seen grabbing the Michigan flag, throwing it aside, and attempting to tear it apart.
The altercation comes after a closely contested game that saw Michigan secure a hard-fought victory, ending Ohio State’s bid for postseason dominance.
The rivalry, already one of the fiercest in college football, now carries additional intensity with the fallout from this incident.
Officials from both teams and the NCAA are likely to review the postgame conflict for potential disciplinary actions. Neither Ohio State nor Michigan has released an official statement regarding the altercation at this time.
