45-year-old Lamarcus Alston killed after shooting in east Durham

Durham police have identified 45-year-old Lamarcus Alston as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred late at night on November 27 in east Durham.

Officers responded to reports of a gunshot wound at approximately 10:43 p.m. in the 1200 block of E. Lawson Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered Alston, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing, according to authorities.

Police are urging anyone with information about this case to come forward.
