South Carolina Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Girlfriend in Rostraver
ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP, PA – Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman inside a Westmoreland County home late Wednesday night.
According to Rostraver Township Police, officers responded to a 911 call made by children inside the home at 980 State Route 136 at approximately 10:52 p.m. regarding a woman who had been shot.
Upon arrival, officers encountered Robert Chaplin, who was standing outside the residence. Police noted that Chaplin appeared highly intoxicated.
As he was taken into custody, he allegedly made a spontaneous statement to officers, saying, “Give me some respect, it was an accident.”
Inside the residence, police discovered Estela Rivera Vasquez lying unresponsive on the basement floor.
She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
During their investigation, authorities recovered a spent shell casing in the driveway and located a firearm inside the basement.
According to the criminal complaint, Chaplin later told investigators, “I didn’t mean to shoot her,” before exclaiming, “I accidentally killed my girlfriend.”
Chaplin has been formally charged with criminal homicide. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released further details regarding the events leading up to the shooting.

Brother Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Alisha Parker
HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department (HPD) has confirmed the arrest of 44-year-old Dawud Parker, who has been charged with murder in connection with the February 4th fatal shooting of 48-year-old Alisha Parker.
The shooting occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. at a convenience store located at 1206 Barker Cypress Road.
Surveillance footage showed Dawud Parker exiting the passenger seat of Alisha Parker’s black BMW moments before the shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Alisha unresponsive in the driver’s seat, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities later confirmed that the suspect and victim were siblings, making this an especially tragic act of violence.
Following the incident, HPD homicide detectives worked to identify and locate the suspect.
A surveillance image of the shooter was released to the public in an effort to assist in his identification.
Dawud Parker was later taken into custody and formally charged with murder.
Further details surrounding the motive and circumstances of the shooting have not yet been released.
