Man injured after shooting at Southside Park in Simpsonville

Greenville County, S.C. — The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation following a shooting that left one male victim injured.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of 417 Baldwin Road, near Southside Park, after receiving multiple reports of gunfire around 4:46 p.m. on Monday.

Shortly after the initial reports, authorities were informed that a male victim had arrived at Hillcrest Hospital suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim’s condition has not been disclosed at this time.

No arrests have been made, and no suspects are currently in custody.

The investigation remains in its early stages as deputies continue to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses.

Jackson, Mississippi — Jim Hill High School, located at 2185 Coach Fred Harris Street, was placed on lockdown Monday following a shooting incident that occurred outside the school premises.

According to preliminary information, an altercation reportedly took place inside the school’s restroom, where a student was assaulted.

Shortly afterward, gunfire erupted outside the building, with witnesses reporting that approximately eight rounds were fired.

One individual has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

At this time, no injuries have been confirmed inside the school building.
