On November 19, 2025, at approximately 6:24 p.m., officers with the Tiffin Police Department responded to a report of gunfire and screaming in the 100 block of Huss Street.

Upon arrival, officers located several victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Preliminary findings indicate the incident occurred during an attempt by the mother of two children to remove personal belongings from the residence due to ongoing domestic conflict.

Prior arrangements had been made with Dustin Willey, 29, the father of her oldest child, to assist with the move while her husband, Ryan Eagon, 42, was believed to be out of town for work.

According to the investigation, the mother and Dustin were inside the home gathering belongings while the two childrenโ€”ages 7 years and 7 monthsโ€”remained outside near a vehicle. After hearing the older child cry out, they went outside and observed Ryan Eagon in the driveway.

Based on witness statements and physical evidence, Eagon immediately pursued Dustin, pushing past the mother and firing multiple rounds. He then turned the firearm toward the children, fatally shooting both, before continuing to fire at Dustin.

Following the shootings, Eagon died from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The mother reported that she carried the injured children back into the home while awaiting first responders.

Officers and Tiffin Fire and Rescue provided emergency medical care at the scene.

Dustin Willey was transported to Tiffin Mercy Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The 7-month-old infant and Ryan Eagon were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 7-year-old child was transported to a medical facility but later succumbed to his injuries.

No officers discharged their weapons, and no law enforcement personnel were injured.

The childrenโ€™s motherโ€”who was present during the entirety of the incidentโ€”placed the emergency call.

This remains an active investigation with assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Seneca County Coronerโ€™s Office.

Autopsies are pending.

The Tiffin Police Department recognizes the tragic impact of this event on the families involved, first responders, medical professionals, schools, and the broader community. Grief and counseling resources are being coordinated for those affected.

Carrie Greene, shared the following public account describing the devastation felt by the family:

โ€œI watched my grandson take his first breath seven years ago, and last night, I watched him take his last. My daughter, Raven Broski, held him, comforting him and telling him he could let go. His beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes could still be seen through his bloodied face.โ€

She explained that her daughter was attempting to leave a domestic violence situation and had been packing belongings with the help of Dustin Willey when the attack occurred.

โ€œRyan Eagon โ€” my daughterโ€™s husband, the stepfather to Wrenn and father to baby August โ€” parked down the street and entered the house without warning. He immediately shot and killed Dustin, then shot my 7-year-old grandson Wrenn three times, and then shot 7-month-old August in the head while he sat in his car seat. My daughter begged him to kill her too, but instead, he turned the gun on himself.โ€

Carrie described Dustin as an exceptional father and deeply caring person, saying:

โ€œRegardless of the ups and downs between him and Raven, I always loved him like a son. He was dedicated to protecting his child and the people he cared about.โ€

She also shared memories of the children:

  • Wrenn, age 7, was intelligent, energetic, funny, and recently celebrated his birthday on November 14.
  • August, the infant, was described as affectionate and joyful, and had recently begun saying โ€œmom.โ€

Carrie continued:

โ€œMy daughter is the best mother I know. All she ever wanted was to stay home and love her babies. Now she is shattered, and our family is devastated.โ€

She ended with a plea to others experiencing abuse:

โ€œIf you are in a domestic violence situationโ€”please listen to your instincts. Leave. Now. And please keep my daughter, our family, and Dustinโ€™s family in your prayers.โ€

PHILADELPHIA โ€” A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot inside the bathroom of a Chipotle restaurant near Temple Universityโ€™s campus in North Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, police said, as students and staff returned for the first day of the Spring 2026 semester.

The shooting occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m. inside the Chipotle located in the 1100 block of West Montgomery Avenue, on the ground floor of The View at Montgomery apartment complex. The building is situated near Temple Universityโ€™s Student Center and TECH Center.

Police later identified the victim as Khyon Smith-Tate, a North Philadelphia resident. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said Smith-Tate was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at 5:24 p.m.

Temple University President John Fry and Vice President for Public Safety and Chief of Police Jennifer Griffin issued a joint statement following the incident:
โ€œThe loss of life to gun violence is a profound tragedy, and there are no words that can make sense of it. Our thoughts are with the victimโ€™s family and loved ones.โ€

According to investigators, Smith-Tate and another minor entered the restaurant and requested access to the restroom. Chief Inspector Small said the shooting is believed to have occurred inside the bathroom.

Moments later, employees discovered Smith-Tate suffering from a gunshot wound. Police recovered one spent shell casing from a semiautomatic weapon inside the restroom.

Although the victimโ€™s last known address was approximately eight blocks from the scene, authorities have not indicated what brought him to the location or what led to the shooting.

At the time of the incident, the restaurant was crowded, and multiple individuals inside the business were detained briefly for questioning. However, police said they have not yet obtained any statements from witnesses who reported hearing a gunshot.

A person of interest was taken into custody several blocks from the scene shortly after the shooting, but Chief Inspector Small said that individualโ€™s involvement remains unclear.

As of Tuesday, police confirmed that no arrests have been made and no motive has been established.

Investigators believe Smith-Tate entered the restroom with another minor, though the whereabouts of that individual remain unknown.

Police are also seeking information about three possible suspects, described as teenagers carrying backpacks.

Chief Inspector Small noted that the area is equipped with numerous surveillance cameras, which detectives are reviewing as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.
