19-year-old Braxton Johnson and 38-year-old man killed in Bruceville-Eddy shooting, suspect Romi Frentescu arrested

The Bruceville-Eddy Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Saturday night, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
Authorities responded to the scene at the intersection of Mackey Ranch Road and Old Moody Road around 7:20 PM.
Initial investigations revealed that at least three people were involved in an altercation that escalated into violence.
One of the victims, a 38-year-old man, was fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim, 19-year-old Braxton Johnson, was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple for treatment of his injuries but tragically succumbed to them.
The suspect fled the scene following the shooting but was later apprehended at their residence. He has been identified as Romi Frentescu.
Bruceville-Eddy PD has confirmed that both the suspect and one of the victims are affiliated with the Cossack motorcycle group.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.

Two San Antonio Police officers shot at West Side hotel, suspect killed

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Two San Antonio police officers were shot during an incident on the city’s West Side Wednesday morning, according to Police Chief William McManus. The suspected gunman is also reported to be down.
The shooting occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. in the 6800 block of U.S. Highway 90 westbound, near Military Drive, in the parking area of the Travelodge Motel.
Multiple emergency medical units were dispatched to the scene following reports of officers injured by gunfire.
When officers responded to the location, an exchange of gunfire ensued, resulting in both officers being struck.
The suspect was also shot during the confrontation.
The conditions of the officers have not yet been released, and it remains unclear how severe their injuries are.
The access road along U.S. Highway 90 westbound has been closed as police secure the area and conduct a full investigation.
A large law enforcement presence, including tactical and crime scene units, remains on site.
Chief McManus confirmed that additional details will be provided during a scheduled press briefing later today, as investigators work to determine the events leading up to the shooting and whether any additional suspects were involved.
Residents are urged to avoid the area as the investigation remains active.
