Jonathan Layton killed in officer-involved shooting after made threats to harm coworkers
A fatal officer-involved shooting occurred on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, in Lindale, Texas.
The incident began when a former employee, identified as Jonathan Layton, made threats to harm coworkers after being terminated from his job.
Law enforcement officers responded to the threat and located Layton at a residence on CR 4109.
When officers attempted to make contact with Layton, he pointed a handgun at them.
In response, an officer fired their weapon, incapacitating Layton.
Despite immediate medical attention, Layton was pronounced dead at the hospital.
