39-year-old Isaac Riley shot and killed outside Amazon Warehouse in Greenfield
Both the suspected shooter and witnesses cooperated fully with law enforcement.
A deadly shooting occurred early Friday morning in the parking lot of the Amazon Distribution Warehouse in Greenfield, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of gunfire at approximately 1:45 a.m. at the facility located at 7114 W. 200 N., near the Marion County/Hancock County line.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered 39-year-old Isaac Riley, of Indianapolis, lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspected shooter, a man who remained on-site with his hands raised in surrender, was immediately taken into custody without resistance.
Authorities have not released the name of the suspect at this time.
In an official statement, the sheriff’s department described the incident as an isolated altercation between two individuals, with evidence suggesting the shooting may have been in self-defense.
Both the suspected shooter and witnesses cooperated fully with law enforcement.
“This appears to be an isolated incident between two people,” the sheriff’s department confirmed, “and there is no threat to the public.”
The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Mullins, SC – A tragic shooting in Mullins on Sunday night left one person dead and two others critically injured, prompting state authorities to step in and assist with the investigation.
Mullins Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of East Dogwood Avenue around 6:45 PM.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered one individual who had succumbed to their injuries.
Two other victims were critically injured and transported to nearby medical facilities for emergency treatment.
Due to the severity of the incident, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has been called in to assist with the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have not released details about the victims, potential suspects, or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Mullins Police Chief Phil Mostowski has not yet provided additional information, and the situation remains under active investigation.
