25-year-old Kanivia Howard killed in Wyoming shooting, suspect in custody
A woman was tragically killed in a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Wyoming.
The Wyoming Police Department responded to a call reporting gunfire near 36th Street and Blue Bird Avenue at approximately 12:40 PM.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 25-year-old woman who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite being transported to the hospital for emergency treatment, she succumbed to her injuries.
Victim has been identified as 25-year-old Kanivia Howard.
A suspect has been taken into custody, but their identity has not been publicly released.
The Wyoming Police Department’s detectives and forensic services unit are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

CINCINNATI, OH – A 42-year-old man was fatally shot in Clifton Heights on Saturday afternoon, prompting an investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD) Homicide Unit.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of Riddle Road at approximately 4:13 p.m. on March 9.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim, later identified as Kevin Garr, 42, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported Garr to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
Detectives from the CPD Homicide Unit have launched an active investigation and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
