Victim Identified in Shelby County Murder-Suicide, Suspect Believed to be Sister-in-Law’s Ex-Boyfriend

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded to a tragic incident on Saturday, October 5th, at a residence in the 8000 block of Bagdad Road.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered two adults deceased inside the home.

The Shelby County Coroner’s Office identified one of the victims as 40-year-old Jessica Hager.

The shooting has been ruled a murder-suicide.

Authorities determined that the perpetrator was a friend of the family and the ex-boyfriend of Hager’s sister-in-law.

The sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and has not released any additional information at this time.

18-year-old Micah Pruitt killed after shooting during Madison drug deal, suspect arrested

Sandoval-Ortuno confessed to firing at Pruitt during a narcotics transaction, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges in Juvenile Court.

Nashville, TN – A teenage boy is facing multiple charges, including homicide, after a shooting incident in Madison on Wednesday evening.

According to Metro Nashville Dispatch, a call was received just before 6:00 PM on October 16th from the 300 block of East Webster Street.

However, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) later determined that the shooting occurred on Gallavista Avenue.

Authorities reported that an 18-year-old, Micah Pruitt, and a 20-year-old man arrived at TriStar Skyline Medical Center shortly after 6:00 PM in a Toyota Camry riddled with bullet holes.

Pruitt was tragically pronounced dead at the hospital, while the 20-year-old, who had driven himself and Pruitt to the hospital, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

On Thursday, October 17th, 16-year-old Brayan Sandoval-Ortuno voluntarily presented himself to MNPD headquarters to provide a statement regarding Pruitt’s death.

Sandoval-Ortuno confessed to firing at Pruitt during a narcotics transaction, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges in Juvenile Court.

Sandoval-Ortuno faces charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault.

Additional details about the case have not been disclosed at this time.
