Suspect and victims in River Ridge homicide identified
The 13-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to her ankle.

A 46-year-old man was fatally shot by Jefferson Parish deputies early Saturday morning (January 18) after allegedly opening fire on his family inside their home in River Ridge.
The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office identified the gunman as Glenn Bohne Jr. According to Sheriff Joe Lopinto, Bohne killed his 40-year-old wife, Dung Pham, and their 2-year-old daughter, Amy Bohne, during the horrific incident.
Bohne also allegedly shot his two older daughters, a 9-year-old and a 13-year-old. The 9-year-old girl was critically injured and rushed to Children’s Hospital, where she remains in critical condition after undergoing surgery.
The 13-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to her ankle.
The couple’s eldest child, a brave 13-year-old girl, hid during the violence and managed to call 911, identifying her father as the gunman. Sheriff Lopinto described the call as heartbreaking.
“I just listened to the 911 tape,” Lopinto said. “Hearing the child make that call is pretty devastating right now, to be honest with you. … Brave little girl.”
The call brought deputies to the single-story home located in the 10000 block of Stephen Drive, near Mary Lane, around 4 a.m.
When deputies arrived, they entered the home and discovered the lifeless bodies of Pham and Amy Bohne in the hallway, along with the two injured daughters. As officers proceeded further into the house, they encountered Bohne in a back bedroom.
“Our policemen continued into the house itself and encountered the father in a back bedroom,” Lopinto explained. “He ended up producing a firearm at that time, and our deputies fired upon him, striking and killing him inside the residence.”
Sheriff Lopinto said investigators are working to understand what led Bohne to commit such a heinous act.
“I don’t have the answers that you’re looking for because I can’t imagine any answers to get us to this point,” Lopinto said. “But we’re certainly investigating.”
The sheriff noted that it is unclear what prompted the violence or whether law enforcement had previously responded to domestic violence incidents at the home.
The tragic incident has deeply affected the local community. Archbishop Chapelle High School identified the critically injured 9-year-old girl as an eighth-grade student. In a social media post, the school announced a prayer service would be held upon the students’ return to school and asked the community to “keep the Bohne family in your prayers during this difficult time.”
Sheriff Lopinto called the incident a “tragic situation” and emphasized the ongoing investigation into the events that led to the violence.
Anyone with additional information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

One Dead, One Injured in Apparent Self-Defense Shooting Outside Cali Rose 15 Kitchen in Lakeland

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, at approximately 9:31 p.m., officers with the Lakeland Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at Cali Rose 15 Kitchen, formerly known as Rush Hour Bar & Grill, located at 1323 Ariana Street in Lakeland.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that two individuals—identified as Jesse Banks, 28, of Lakeland, and Nicholas Lue, 26, of West Palm Beach—had sustained gunshot wounds.
Both men were transported to Lakeland Regional Health for emergency treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Banks was pronounced deceased.
Lue was stabilized and remains hospitalized in recovery.
Preliminary findings from witness interviews and physical evidence at the scene indicate that the incident began as a verbal altercation between Banks, Lue, and another individual, identified as Tre D’Shon Huntly, 24, of Lakeland.
The confrontation occurred just outside the restaurant’s front entrance.
According to investigators, the dispute escalated when Banks physically struck Huntly in the head.
At that moment, a male standing just inside the business opened the front door in defense of Huntly.
Banks and Lue then allegedly turned their aggression toward this second individual, producing a firearm and pointing it at him.
In response, Huntly drew a handgun and discharged several rounds, striking both Banks and Lue.
A handgun was later recovered from Banks at the scene.
Huntly remained at the location and fully cooperated with detectives during the investigation.
Based on the information available, it appears Huntly acted in self-defense.
No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
