16-year-old Miranda Clements killed after shooting on Pardue Street in Vivian
Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl in Vivian, Louisiana.
The incident occurred on Sunday, April 20, shortly before 8:30 p.m., when officers with the Vivian Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at a residence located in the 33 block of Pardue Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 16-year-old Miranda Clements unresponsive on the floor inside the home, suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body.
Emergency responders with Caddo Fire District 8 arrived on the scene and pronounced her deceased.
Following the initial response, the Vivian Police Department requested assistance from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office are actively collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected at this stage of the investigation.

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred at the MGM National Harbor Hotel and Casino, leaving one man dead and another injured. Prince George’s County Police confirmed the fatality in a statement released on social media.
According to investigators, two adult men were struck by gunfire during the incident.
One victim was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
