AMBRIDGE, Pa. — A suspect is in custody following a double homicide that left two people dead early Sunday morning in Ambridge, according to police.

The Ambridge Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Locust Street at approximately 2:30 a.m. after receiving multiple reports of gunfire in the area.

A witness informed officers that the shots appeared to have come from inside a nearby residence.

Upon entering the home, officers discovered two victims—a man and a woman—who had both suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the victims as Andre Littles, 54, of Pittsburgh, and Ashley Anne Delucca, 38, of Ambridge.

Investigators quickly identified a suspect and issued a regional alert to surrounding law enforcement agencies.

At approximately 8:37 a.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol notified Ambridge police that the suspect had been apprehended following a vehicle crash in Zanesville, Ohio.

The suspect was identified as Howard James Thomas Jr., 39, of Ambridge.

He was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment before being taken into custody.

Police stated that Thomas was arrested on a warrant charging him with two counts of homicide.

Ambridge Mayor Tina Iorfido-Schmidt released a statement expressing condolences and assuring the community that there is no ongoing threat. In her statement, the mayor said she was deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and extended sympathies to the victims’ families and loved ones.

She also thanked police officers, first responders, and investigators for their professionalism and dedication, noting that the investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities emphasized that there is no danger to the public at this time.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting continues.

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — February 15, 2026 — The City of Port Jervis Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred shortly after midnight on Hammond Street.

At approximately 12:32 a.m. on February 15, officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in the area of 145–147 Hammond Street, located in the city’s Fourth Ward.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 43-year-old Jason Finch suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body following what authorities described as a disturbance.

Finch was transported to Bon Secours Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Despite lifesaving efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is being conducted as a homicide and is a coordinated effort involving the New York State Police and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, with additional assistance from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.

Authorities have indicated that, at this time, the incident appears to be isolated and there is no known ongoing threat to the public.

Detectives continue to process evidence, conduct interviews, and pursue investigative leads.
