MILWAUKEE, WI – Newly obtained surveillance footage has revealed the chilling moment 7-year-old Jamal White was abducted at gunpoint on Friday evening, prompting a statewide Amber Alert and a nearly 24-hour search before the boy was found safe.

According to Milwaukee police, the abduction occurred near North 61st and West Hustis Streets, just after 7:00 p.m.

The video shows a white Jeep parked on the side of the road as Jamal, riding his bicycle home from a nearby park, approaches his driveway.

Witnesses say his father, Jamal D. White Sr., was driving alongside him in a separate vehicle.

In the footage, the Jeep can be seen slowly moving before it suddenly turns around and blocks the driveway. Two suspects exit the vehicle simultaneously — one appears to be armed, pursuing Jamal’s father as he attempts to retreat into the house, while the second suspect chases Jamal up the driveway.

Moments later, the suspect is seen carrying Jamal back toward the vehicle and forcibly placing him into the Jeep.

As the Jeep speeds away, Jamal’s family can be seen rushing out of the home in panic, with his father striking the back of his car in anguish. The Amber Alert was issued approximately five hours later, shortly before midnight.

Police located Jamal the next evening, around 6:00 p.m. Saturday, inside a home near North 39th and West Lloyd Streets — roughly seven miles from where the abduction took place.

He was found safe, and multiple arrests have been made in connection with the case.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the motive behind the abduction.
