Michael Wilkerson Arrested and Charged in Fatal Shooting of Liquor Store Employee Darrell King at South Post Oak Road
Charges have been filed against a suspect involved in the fatal shooting of a woman at a business on the 14300 block of South Post Oak Road.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Michael Dewayne Wilkerson, faces charges of capital murder and tampering with physical evidence in the 182nd State District Court.

Wilkerson is accused of killing 29-year-old Darrell Lynn Tikisha King.
Officers from the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division, Sergeants R. Watson and M. Burrow, reported that HPD patrol officers responded to a call regarding a shooting at the business.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive woman, later identified as Ms. King, who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced her dead at the scene. King was reportedly an employee at the business where the shooting took place.
Following an initial investigation, Wilkerson, who had previously been in a relationship with King, was identified as the primary suspect.
On Wednesday, November 13, officers from the HPD Southwest Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team apprehended Wilkerson without incident. He was subsequently transported and booked into the Harris County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence related to this tragic event.
