A video has surfaced showing medics performing CPR on UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson moments after he was fatally shot outside a Midtown Manhattan hotel.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:46 a.m. on Wednesday as Thompson, 50, was arriving at the New York Hilton Midtown for a scheduled conference.
According to police reports, a masked suspect, believed to have been lying in wait for Thompson, opened fire, striking him multiple times. The gunman then fled eastbound on 6th Avenue, evading capture.

Emergency responders rushed Thompson to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, but despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities continue to investigate the targeted attack, which has sent shockwaves through the business community and beyond.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:46 a.m., just hours before an investor meeting scheduled to take place at the hotel.
Authorities report that a masked suspect fired at Thompson, striking him in the chest.
Emergency responders transported him to a hospital in critical condition, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
The suspected gunman, described as wearing a cream-colored jacket, a black face mask, and black and white sneakers, fled the scene on a bicycle and remains at large.
Witness accounts indicate the suspect had been seen loitering in the area prior to the shooting.
According to sources, the assailant appeared to spot Thompson on the street before firing “from a distance.”
Thompson, a 20-year veteran of UnitedHealthcareโs parent company, UnitedHealth Group, was scheduled to speak at the investor meeting later that morning.
The company had commenced the event at 8:00 a.m., but it was abruptly halted following the tragic news.
“Weโre dealing with a very serious situation,” an official reportedly announced to attendees. “Weโre going to have to bring the event to a close… I hope youโll understand.”
Thompson was appointed CEO of UnitedHealthcare, the largest health insurance provider in the United States, in April 2021.
Throughout his career, he had overseen key divisions of the company, including Medicare and retirement programs.
As of now, law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No motive has been confirmed, though preliminary reports suggest it may have been a targeted attack.
UnitedHealth Group has not yet issued a detailed statement regarding Thompsonโs death but expressed condolences and support for his family and colleagues. The incident has left the healthcare industry and corporate community in shock.

Noemi Hernandez, Mother of Four Murdered By Her Husband Hector Luvianos Two Days Before Christmas
BATAVIA, Ill. โ A devastating domestic homicide has left a family and community in mourning just days before Christmas.
Noemi Hernandez, a devoted mother of four, was fatally attacked in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 23, in what prosecutors allege was a violent act committed by her husband.
The incident occurred at an apartment building in the 100 block of Church Street in Batavia.
According to court records and police reports, at approximately 4:37 a.m., Batavia police were dispatched after a man contacted emergency dispatchers and stated that he had killed his wife.
Responding officers located the man outside the apartment building and took him into custody without incident.
When officers entered the apartment, they found Hernandez suffering from severe, life-threatening injuries.
First responders immediately attempted life-saving measures; however, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities identified the suspect as Hector B. Luvianos, 37, who was transported to the Batavia Police Department for questioning.
With assistance from the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force, investigators determined the incident was domestic-related and involved only the two individuals. Police emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
On Dec. 24, 2025, Kane County Stateโs Attorney Jamie L. Mosser and Batavia Police Chief Eric Blowers announced that Luvianos has been formally charged with first-degree murder, a Class M felony under Illinois law.
He appeared in court the same day for a pretrial detention hearing, after which a judge ordered him held in the Kane County Jail while the case proceeds.
The Kane County Coronerโs Office responded to the scene, and an autopsy is scheduled to determine the official cause and manner of Hernandezโs death.
In the wake of the tragedy, Hernandezโs family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral and related expenses.
In the fundraiser, the family described Noemi as โthe heart of her family,โ noting that she worked tirelessly, loved deeply, and always placed her children first. Her sudden death, they wrote, has left the family emotionally devastated and financially unprepared.
As an immigrant family with limited resources and no life insurance, they now face the burden of funeral and cremation costs, legal fees, and other unexpected expenses, all while supporting four children grieving the loss of their mother.
The family is asking for community support to allow them to lay Noemi to rest with dignity and focus on healing rather than financial hardship.
The investigation remains ongoing.
