Omaha Northwest High School on lockdown after boy shot
The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, white shoes, and a white shirt.
UPDATE: The suspect has been taken into custody after being found hiding under a porch in the area of 81st and Bauman Avenue.
A shooting incident occurred at Northwest High School, located at 8204 Crown Point Avenue.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and an ambulance was requested for a 15-year-old male who was shot in the abdomen.
The victim was transported to Nebraska Medicine in critical condition but was reported to be awake and alert.
The shooting is believed to have taken place inside the school.
The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, white shoes, and a white shirt.
He was seen fleeing the school through a side door heading north.
Additional emergency response units were dispatched to the scene as a precautionary measure.
While there is currently only one confirmed victim, the school remains on lockdown, and officers are reviewing all available camera footage to identify the suspect.

Plane crashes near Concord-Padgett Regional Airport

CONCORD, NC (Cabarrus County) — Aircraft Crash ReportEmergency crews responded to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport, located in the 9000 block of Aviation Boulevard Northwest, following reports of an aircraft crash off the runway.
According to initial information, the aircraft went down just off the airstrip, and flames were observed on the ground shortly after impact.
Fire and rescue units arrived promptly and initiated fire suppression efforts to contain the blaze.
Authorities have confirmed that the pilot was able to exit the aircraft following the crash.
The extent of any injuries has not yet been released.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and are expected to conduct a full investigation into the cause of the incident.
Motorists and residents are advised to avoid the area while emergency operations continue.
