17-year-old Qi’Adrian Gordon killed after shooting outside Kroger in Clayton County

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities are actively searching for a suspect involved in a deadly shooting that occurred Wednesday evening at a busy shopping center in Clayton County.

According to the Clayton County Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 8:33 p.m. at the shopping plaza located at 10375 Tara Boulevard near Jonesboro.

The plaza houses several businesses, including a Kroger grocery store and multiple restaurants.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a teenage male lying on the sidewalk just steps away from the Kroger entrance.

The victim, later identified as 17-year-old Qi’Adrian Gordon, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots followed by a vehicle speeding away from the area.

Police have not released a description of the suspect or the vehicle at this time.

As of Thursday morning, no arrests have been made, and the identity of the suspect remains unknown.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Clayton County Police Department.

CHICAGO, IL (Cook County) — Chicago police and emergency crews responded to an officer-involved shooting following a chaotic pursuit involving a stolen ambulance from Loretto Hospital.

According to preliminary reports, officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Chicago Avenue and North Cicero Avenue after a suspect allegedly stole an ambulance from the hospital premises.

During the ensuing pursuit, the suspect reportedly struck multiple police officers with the vehicle, prompting officers to discharge their weapons.

The suspect was subsequently taken into custody at the scene.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) have been requested for two injured officers, who were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Authorities have secured the area, and multiple law enforcement units remain on scene as the investigation continues.

The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) has been notified and will review the incident in accordance with department policy.
