DERBY, UK — At least 20 people were injured, some critically, after a vehicle was driven into pedestrians in Derby city centre on Friday evening, according to Derbyshire Police.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friar Gate, near the junction with Curzon Street/Cheapside, involving a black Suzuki Swift.
Emergency services, including ambulance crews, responded promptly, providing medical attention at the scene before transporting several victims to local hospitals.
Police officers quickly located and stopped a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident.
