Multiple Victims Stabbed Following Crash in Annandale, Suspect Shot by Police
ANNANDALE, Va. (Fairfax County) — A serious incident involving multiple stabbing victims and an officer-involved shooting occurred along the southbound lanes of Interstate 495 near Little River Turnpike in Fairfax County.
According to preliminary emergency dispatch reports, the situation began following a motor vehicle collision (MVC) in the area.
After the crash, a suspect reportedly exited a vehicle and stabbed four individuals at the scene.
Responding law enforcement officers encountered the suspect and discharged their firearms. The suspect was struck during the confrontation.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding the suspect’s condition.
Fire and rescue personnel initiated immediate triage and life-saving measures upon arrival. CPR was in progress on one victim at the scene.
Two victims were classified as “red tag,” indicating critical, life-threatening injuries, while one victim was classified as “yellow tag,” signifying serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Additional medical assessments are ongoing.
The southbound lanes of I-495 near Little River Turnpike were significantly impacted as first responders secured the scene and began their investigation.

Video Shows Moment Gunman Ndiaga Diagne Opened Fire Inside Austin Buford’s Bar
AUSTIN, Texas — Newly released video footage captures the moment the gunman, identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, opened fire inside a crowded downtown Austin bar early Sunday morning, resulting in multiple fatalities and numerous injuries.
The shooting occurred at Buford’s Bar on West Sixth Street, a popular nightlife destination.
According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:59 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers encountered an active shooter situation and returned fire. The suspect was fatally shot at the scene.
Authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Officials report that three people were killed in the attack, including two victims pronounced dead at the scene.
Fourteen additional individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Several victims remain in critical condition, while others are being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency medical personnel worked rapidly to triage victims amid chaotic conditions in the entertainment district.
Law enforcement officials have identified the suspect as Ndiaga Diagne, a naturalized U.S. citizen originally born in Senegal. Investigators state that Diagne was wearing a shirt bearing the phrase “Property of Allah” at the time of the attack.

Newly released photographs show the suspect also wearing an undershirt displaying imagery associated with the Iranian flag.
Authorities further confirmed that a Quran was recovered from the suspect’s vehicle during the subsequent investigation.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is assisting local authorities and has stated that the incident is being investigated as a potential act of terrorism.
