Austin Buford’s Bar Shooting Suspect Identified as Ndiaga Diagne
AUSTIN, Texas — Law enforcement officials have released new photographs of the suspect involved in the deadly mass shooting at Buford’s Bar on West Sixth Street early Sunday morning.
Authorities identified the suspect as Ndiaga Diagne. According to investigators, Diagne was wearing a shirt bearing the phrase “Property of Allah,” along with an undershirt referencing Iran at the time of the attack.
Law enforcement sources also confirmed that a Quran was recovered from the suspect’s vehicle.
Federal authorities are reviewing evidence to determine whether the shooting may have been ideologically motivated.
At this time, investigators have not announced a definitive motive.
Officers with the Austin Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:59 a.m. at Buford’s Bar, located near the intersection of West Sixth Street and Nueces Street in downtown Austin’s entertainment district.
According to Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis, the suspect opened fire, striking multiple individuals.
Three officers on scene returned fire, fatally shooting the suspect. Authorities have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
A third victim later died from injuries sustained in the shooting, bringing the total number of fatalities to three, including the suspect.
At least 14 additional victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Early reports indicated that as many as 17 individuals may have required medical transport. Three hospitalized victims remain in critical condition.
By approximately 3:30 a.m., emergency responders were still assessing the full scope of injuries and securing the area.
Federal investigators are assisting local law enforcement as authorities process evidence at the scene, which officials said would require several hours to complete.
Austin Mayor Kirk Watson stated that city officials will continue providing updates as verified information becomes available.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage, witness statements, and digital evidence as they work to determine motive and whether the attack meets the legal threshold for terrorism-related charges.

61-year-old Sharon killed by ex-boyfriend in Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium shooting, Craig Sipe charged with murder
CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Craig Alan Sipe, 63, of Akron, has been charged with aggravated murder following a fatal shooting at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium on Sunday morning, October 18, 2026, according to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department.
Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting inside the fitness facility on 4th Street at approximately 9:30 a.m.
During the initial investigation, authorities determined that a 61-year-old woman had been shot and seriously injured.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment but later died from her injuries, police confirmed. Her name has not been officially released by authorities.
According to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, preliminary findings indicate that the suspect targeted one victim before fleeing the area. Investigators believe the shooting was domestic-related, although authorities have not publicly disclosed further details about the circumstances that led to the violence.
Sipe, who is from Akron, later turned himself in to Cuyahoga Falls police. He was taken into custody and transported to the Summit County Jail.
Authorities have charged Sipe with one count of aggravated murder in connection with the woman’s death. He was expected to be arraigned on Monday, October 19, according to the information released about the case.
The charge represents an allegation, and the case will proceed through the criminal justice system.
The Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium was closed following the shooting and was scheduled to remain closed through Monday, October 19, 2026, as the investigation continued.
