Suspect Chad Hickman located after shooting in Lake City, Missaukee County
MISSAUKEE COUNTY, Mich. — Michigan State Police say 39-year-old Chad Hickman, who had previously been considered armed and dangerous in connection with a shooting in Missaukee County, has been located.
MSP announced the update shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, saying detectives received information that Hickman had been found. Authorities have not yet disclosed where he was located or whether he has been taken into custody.
Four People Reportedly Shot in Lake City
The investigation stems from a reported shooting near LaChance and Kelly roads in Lake City, where authorities established a heavy police presence.
Initial information indicated that four people were shot, including a 13-year-old who reportedly called 911 after being wounded.
Authorities responding to a location near 2580 S. LaChance Road reportedly found three people deceased and one person injured.
Police have not released the identities of the victims or provided additional details about their conditions.
Hickman Previously Considered Armed and Dangerous
Before announcing that Hickman had been located, Michigan State Police warned the public that he was considered armed and dangerous.
Investigators identified Hickman as a person of interest in the shooting and said he was associated with the Lake City/Jennings area.
Police previously said Hickman might be traveling in a white pickup truck with a discolored tailgate and urged the public not to approach him.
Anyone who encountered Hickman or had information about his whereabouts was instructed to contact 911.
Investigation Remains Ongoing
Although police have confirmed that Hickman has been located, authorities have not yet released information about whether he was arrested, detained or otherwise taken into custody.
Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including what led to the violence and the relationship between Hickman and the victims.

14-Year-Old Middleton High School Student Carson Chrapkowski Dies After Bicycle Crash, Driver Alyssa Anderson Arrested
MIDDLETON, Idaho — A 14-year-old Middleton High School student has died after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle near the high school Friday night, according to the Middleton Police Department.
The teenager was transported by Life Flight to St. Luke’s Boise following the crash but died from his injuries early Saturday morning.
Middleton police said the crash involved a vehicle and a bicyclist near Middleton High School. The 14-year-old suffered critical injuries and was flown to a Boise hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Police announced Saturday morning that the young bicyclist had succumbed to his injuries.
The teen was identified in the information provided for this report as Carson Chrapkowski, a Middleton High School student. However, the police department’s public statement did not release the teenager’s name.
Police arrested 41-year-old Alyssa Louise Anderson in connection with the crash. Anderson was booked into the Canyon County Jail.
According to police, Anderson is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter, aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the collision or the specific allegations supporting the DUI charge.
The crash remains under investigation by the Middleton Police Department and Idaho State Police. Investigators have not released further information about the sequence of events or whether additional charges could be filed.
