Bianca “Bibi” Ramirez Killed in Suspected Murder-Suicide Involving Estranged Husband Axel Ramirez After Texas Police Chase
CRESSON, Texas — Bianca Elizabeth “Bibi” Ramirez, a 34-year-old Burleson woman who had recently graduated from nursing school, and her estranged husband, Axel Ramirez, died following a reported kidnapping and police pursuit that ended near Bourland Field Airport in Cresson, Texas, on Thursday morning, October 29, 2026.
Authorities are investigating the deaths as a suspected murder-suicide after the pair were found inside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds, according to information released by police.
The incident began at approximately 7:45 a.m. in the 700 block of West Hidden Creek Parkway in Burleson, when officers received reports of an armed man. Witnesses reportedly saw a man with a woman before he allegedly forced her into a vehicle.
Police said the individuals were estranged spouses and may initially have met for what was intended to be a civil conversation.
The woman was identified as Bianca Elizabeth Ramirez, 34, of Burleson by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Additional information shared after family notification identified her as “Bibi” Ramirez. According to that account, she had recently graduated from nursing school and had begun a new relationship.
Her death has left family members and loved ones grieving a woman who had recently reached an important milestone in her professional life.
Police Chief Billy Cordell said during a Thursday afternoon news conference that the woman managed to contact police from inside the vehicle after she was allegedly taken against her will. However, she was not heard speaking during the 911 call.
The man involved in the incident was identified in the updated account as Axel Ramirez, Bianca’s estranged husband.
According to police, the driver left the area after the reported kidnapping and traveled south along Texas 174 and Wilshire Boulevard. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to comply, prompting a pursuit.
The chase continued toward Chisholm Trail Parkway and ended more than 34 minutes later near Bourland Field Airport in Cresson, Parker County.
Responding officers found both individuals dead inside the vehicle. Authorities said preliminary findings indicated a suspected murder-suicide.
Police also confirmed that no responding law enforcement officers fired shots during the incident.
The Burleson Police Department received assistance from several agencies during the pursuit, including the Johnson County, Parker County and Tarrant County sheriff’s offices, the Fort Worth Police Department’s Air 1 helicopter unit and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the reported kidnapping, the pursuit and the fatal shooting.
Burleson Police Chief Billy Cordell said neither the Burleson nor Mansfield police departments had previously received domestic-violence-related calls involving the couple. The pair reportedly moved from Mansfield to Burleson in August.
Authorities have not publicly released every detail surrounding the events that led to the deaths.
One of the most heartbreaking aspects of the tragedy is the couple’s two daughters, ages 14 and 9, who are now staying with extended family.
The children have lost both parents in a single incident, leaving relatives to navigate the immediate aftermath while supporting them through an extraordinarily difficult time.
The case has also prompted renewed concern about the devastating consequences that can arise in situations involving separation, conflict and alleged violence. Anyone experiencing a crisis or concerned about their safety is encouraged to seek help from trusted people or appropriate support services.
Authorities continue to investigate the deaths of Bianca “Bibi” Ramirez and Axel Ramirez. Police have described the incident as a suspected murder-suicide based on preliminary findings.
The investigation follows a reported kidnapping in Burleson and a police pursuit that crossed into Parker County before ending near Bourland Field Airport in Cresson.
As loved ones mourn the deaths and care for the couple’s two daughters, additional information may be released as investigators establish the full circumstances of the case.
