Chilling Last Words From Pilot Before Learjet Crash in Greenacres, Florida 9 people on board plane killed South Military Trail

GREENACRES, Fla. — A Learjet 60 crashed in a residential area of Greenacres, Florida, on Sunday afternoon, November 1, 2026, after a rapid descent from altitude, according to preliminary reports.

The aircraft struck near South Military Trail, between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue North, and burst into flames.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the jet, identified as Learjet 60 registration N722BD, departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was headed to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.

Nine people were reportedly aboard, including passengers and crew.

The crash was reported at approximately 12:50 p.m. Video circulating online appears to show the aircraft descending rapidly before impact. Flight-tracking information also indicated a steep loss of altitude before the aircraft’s signal disappeared, though the reported descent rates vary among sources and have not been confirmed by investigators.

Witnesses described a loud explosion as the jet came down near a mobile home park. The impact ignited a fire and scattered debris across the roadway. Preliminary accounts indicate the aircraft may have struck a tree and damaged power lines before coming to rest near a mobile home. The extent of damage to nearby properties has not been fully confirmed.

Emergency crews responded as smoke rose above the neighborhood. Military Trail was closed in both directions between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue North while responders worked at the scene.

Audio described as capturing the pilot’s final moments has circulated online, including a distressing statement attributed to the pilot.

“In air traffic control audio, the crew of the aircraft, identified as N722BD, declared an emergency and reported an increasingly rapid descent.

“Mayday, mayday. We’re descending 10,000 feet per minute,” a voice from the aircraft said. “We’re going to crash into the ground.” “I’m here with you. Talk to me,” a controller responded. “We are descending 22,000 feet and we are banking 60 degrees,” the crew said, followed by screaming and an unintelligible passage.

We’re all Gonna Die. Holy fuck, We’re out of Time.”

the crew said before the transmission cut off.”

Thunderstorms were reportedly present in the broader region, but investigators have not determined whether weather contributed to the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to lead the investigation with assistance from the FAA. Investigators will examine available flight data, weather conditions, aircraft maintenance records and other evidence.

The aircraft’s registered owner is listed in FAA records as LR60271 LLC, a Wilmington, Delaware-based company. Reports identifying Aurora Aviation as a possible charter operator have not been independently confirmed.

The crash occurred several miles from President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. No information provided so far indicates that the aircraft’s proximity to the property was connected to the incident.
