39-year-old Mack Jenkins killed after a fight escalated to a shooting at Hal Orr’s Inn in Rocky Mount

Rocky Mount, N.C. – On Sunday morning, September 15, 2024, a 39-year-old man tragically lost his life in a shooting that followed a fight at a motel in Rocky Mount.
According to the Rocky Mount Police Department, officers arrived at the scene around 1:04 AM in response to reports of gunfire at Hal Orr’s Inn (2400 block of North Wesleyan Boulevard).
Preliminary investigation indicates that a disagreement escalated into violence, resulting in the victim being shot.
Despite receiving immediate medical attention at 400 Saint Paul Street, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Mack Jenkins.
