16-year-old killed after shooting in Remerton
REMERTON, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), in coordination with the Remerton Police Department, is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old male.
According to authorities, officers with the Remerton Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 1900 block of Baytree Place at approximately 12:30 a.m. on July 5.
Upon arrival, they located the teenage victim, who was transported to a nearby hospital.
Despite life-saving efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
GBI agents have confirmed that a large number of individuals were present at the scene when the shooting took place.
