CNN reported gunfire targeted Donald Trump, Secret Service returned fire
Initial reports suggested two people were firing at each other.
There is still a great deal of conflicting information surrounding the shooting at Trump’s golf club in Florida.
Initially, several news outlets reported that Trump was not the intended target. However, just moments ago, CNN reported that Trump was the target of the attack.
As of now, no official statement has been released.
Police found a backpack with an AK-47 rifle and a GoPro camera after shooting near Trump’s golf course.
A person has been detained following an incident at Trump’s golf club, and sources indicate that officials believe the individual intended to target the former president.
Officials are scheduled to hold a press conference soon regarding the shooting near Donald Trump’s golf course. The briefing is expected to take place shortly.

The Secret Service is responding to a shooting that occurred near Donald Trump as he departed his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, according to law enforcement sources.
“President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time,” Trump spokesman Steven Cheung stated on Sunday afternoon.
Sources reported that two individuals exchanged gunfire outside of the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach.
The gunfire was not directed at Trump, as the shooters were targeting each other.
Trump was never in any immediate danger, and the incident took place in a high-crime area outside the club, according to the sources.
Trump was swiftly escorted to a secure location as soon as gunfire was reported nearby.
U.S. Secret Service statement:
“The Secret Service, in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a protective incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. The former president is safe.”
This incident comes nearly two months after Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, wounding him in the ear.

18-year-old Kyler Naely charged for the murder in shooting death of 16-year-old Ja’Tycie Williams
An 18-year-old suspect has been arrested and charged in a deadly shooting that occurred in October, which claimed the life of a 16-year-old and injured another.
The incident began on October 6, 2024, shortly after 12:45 a.m., when officers were called to a shooting on I-244 near Yale Avenue.
Upon arrival, they discovered a gray SUV riddled with bullet holes and shattered windows. Investigators determined that seven people were inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
Two occupants of the vehicle suffered gunshot wounds.
One victim, 16-year-old Ja’Tycie Williams, sustained critical injuries and succumbed to them several weeks later. The other victim suffered a minor gunshot wound to the arm and survived.
Preliminary investigations revealed the incident was linked to a fight at the Tulsa State Fair earlier that evening.
Witnesses reported that the altercation, which occurred as the group was leaving the fairgrounds, likely escalated into the highway shooting.
Following an in-depth investigation, Tulsa Police Homicide Detectives identified 18-year-old Kyler Naely as the suspect responsible for the shooting.
On November 19, 2024, Naely was arrested, charged with first-degree murder, and booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
