At least 1 killed, 5 injured after mass shooting in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS – Police and emergency crews responded to a mass shooting in south Minneapolis that left at least six people wounded, authorities confirmed.
According to initial radio dispatches, officers were called to the area of 29th Street East and Clinton Avenue, where multiple gunshot victims were located.
Police said four of the victims sustained serious injuries, while at least two additional individuals suffered minor wounds.
Some of the victims were found near a nearby McDonald’s restaurant and the CSL Plasma center, investigators noted.
Paramedics treated the injured at the scene before transporting all victims to area hospitals for further care.
Police remain at the scene securing the area and gathering evidence.
The identities of the victims have not been released, and no arrests have been announced at this time.
Authorities have not yet provided information on a possible suspect or motive.
The investigation remains active, and officials are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact Minneapolis police.

28-year-old man found shot to death on Chicago South Side

CHICAGO — Authorities have launched an investigation following a fatal overnight shooting that occurred on the city’s South Side, leaving one man dead.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the incident took place shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of West 44th Street, within the Grand Boulevard neighborhood.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire and a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 28-year-old man lying unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Police have not yet released the identity of the victim, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
