Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee has confirmed that Dylan Larymore died in a shooting Wednesday evening on Candy Lane in Darlington. As the investigation progressed, authorities identified the suspect as Jeffery Daniel Booker.

Darlington County, SC – Law enforcement officials in the Pee Dee region are actively investigating a fatal shooting that took place overnight on Thursday, February 15, 2025.

According to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Candy Lane.

While initial details were limited, authorities provided an update at approximately 2:00 a.m., confirming that the scene had been secured.

Later, Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee confirmed that one person, identified as Dylan Larymore, was killed in the incident.

As the investigation progressed, authorities identified the suspect as Jeffery Daniel Booker.

Booker was subsequently arrested and booked into the Darlington County Detention Center on murder charges.
