22-year-old Marquaveus Baston killed after shooting at Birch Park Apartments in Saginaw
Saginaw, MI – A 22-year-old man was fatally shot late Thursday night at the Birch Park Apartments complex, according to the Saginaw Police Department.
The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. on March 21, 2025, in the 3000 block of Birch Park Drive.
Multiple 911 callers reported hearing gunfire and witnessing a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Marquaveus Baston, 22, of Saginaw, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Saginaw Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation, but authorities have not yet identified a suspect or a possible motive.
As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made.
