22-year-old Davinci Leonard Wanted for Double Murder Outside Westgate Mall in Brockton

Brockton, MA – Authorities are actively searching for 22-year-old Davinci Leonard, who is accused of fatally shooting two teenagers in the Westgate Mall parking lot on Saturday evening.

According to investigators, Leonard, who currently resides in Brockton but is not originally from the city, fled the scene after the shooting, taking some clothing items with him.

Law enforcement officials have issued a warrant for his arrest on the following charges:

  • Two counts of murder
  • Carrying a loaded firearm
  • Carrying a loaded firearm without a license

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office has identified the victims as 15-year-old Tymari Albertson and 18-year-old Cevannah Alvarez.

The two teens, who were not related, were shot following an altercation between Albertson and Leonard in the parking lot.

Authorities have not yet disclosed what led to the dispute.

District Attorney Timothy Cruz confirmed that Leonard was not licensed to possess a firearm and is believed to still be armed.

He emphasized the urgency of capturing Leonard, stating:

“If you are going to have unlawful guns in the city of Brockton and the county of Plymouth, we will come and get you. And we will arrest you and put you away. People need to understand that they will be held accountable.”

Leonard is considered armed and dangerous, and officials urge the public not to approach him.

Authorities have identified the man shot and killed Friday afternoon in a parking lot outside a Little Caesars restaurant in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood.

The victim has been named as Stevens Jeffrey, 29, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The shooting occurred in the 2600 block of West Cermak Road near Rockwell Street at approximately 1:10 p.m., according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD).

Preliminary reports indicate that Jeffrey was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown vehicle.

An armed individual exited that vehicle and opened fire, striking Jeffrey multiple times in the face and body.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene, where Jeffrey was pronounced dead. He was discovered inside his vehicle with his two young children, ages 4 and 6, who were unharmed.

Both children were transported to Stroger Hospital for precautionary evaluation.

The shooting took place in the parking lot of a Little Caesars restaurant, where investigators recovered multiple shell casings and placed numerous evidence markers on the ground.

As of Friday evening, no suspects are in custody, and detectives from the CPD Area Four Homicide Unit are leading the investigation. Police have not released information on a possible motive.
