Video Shows Moments Small Plane Crashes in Boca Raton

A devastating plane crash occurred on the morning of Friday, April 11, 2025, in Boca Raton, Florida, claiming the lives of three individuals.
The incident took place at approximately 10:20 a.m. near the intersection of Military Trail and Glades Road, in close proximity to the Boca Raton Airport.
According to authorities, the small aircraft—a Cessna 310, a twin-engine plane—was experiencing mechanical difficulties as it attempted to approach the airport.
Emergency services were notified prior to the crash, but the plane ultimately went down in the 1900 block of Military Trail, striking a vehicle on the ground. Both the aircraft and the vehicle erupted into flames upon impact.
Boca Raton Police confirmed road closures in the surrounding area, including portions of Military Trail near Interstate 95, as fire crews and emergency responders rushed to the scene.
Local media outlets reported a significant fire and a large plume of smoke rising from the crash site.
Flight data from FlightRadar24 indicates that the Cessna 310 made several loops around the airport before the tragic descent, suggesting the pilot may have been attempting to troubleshoot the issue or prepare for an emergency landing.
Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer released a statement expressing condolences and urging the community to allow time and space for the investigation and the grieving families.
“We are deeply saddened to confirm that a plane crash occurred earlier today within our community,” said Mayor Singer. “Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragic event. We ask for patience and respect for the families involved as investigations continue.”
The identities of the victims have not yet been publicly released.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are expected to lead the investigation into the cause of the crash.
