Tallahassee Police Hunt for Armed and Dangerous Suspects Following Home Invasion

Tallahassee, FL – The Tallahassee Police Department is actively searching for armed and dangerous suspects who were involved in a home invasion that escalated into a shooting near Appleyard Drive on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at The Socials 2700, where a home invasion took place. When officers arrived at the scene, gunfire erupted. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
Following the shooting, Tallahassee State College issued an emergency alert to its students and staff, urging them to seek shelter immediately. The college is located on Appleyard Drive.
Just before 4:30 p.m., TSC announced that the all-clear had been given, and the campus was now safe to return to. Normal operations have resumed.
The number of suspects involved and their descriptions remain unclear at this time.
The Tallahassee Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them immediately.

Plane crashes near Concord-Padgett Regional Airport

CONCORD, NC (Cabarrus County) — Aircraft Crash ReportEmergency crews responded to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport, located in the 9000 block of Aviation Boulevard Northwest, following reports of an aircraft crash off the runway.
According to initial information, the aircraft went down just off the airstrip, and flames were observed on the ground shortly after impact.
Fire and rescue units arrived promptly and initiated fire suppression efforts to contain the blaze.
Authorities have confirmed that the pilot was able to exit the aircraft following the crash.
The extent of any injuries has not yet been released.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and are expected to conduct a full investigation into the cause of the incident.
Motorists and residents are advised to avoid the area while emergency operations continue.
