22-year-old James Lofton killed after shooting in Chicago East Garfield Park neighborhood
As of late Wednesday, no arrests have been made in connection with the triple shooting.
Three men were injured in a shooting incident that occurred in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.
One of the victims, a 22-year-old named James Lofton, later succumbed to his injuries.
The incident took place around 2:02 PM in the 3200 block of West Maypole Avenue.
Chicago Police officers responded to a report of a person shot and discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds.



A 31-year-old man had been shot in the leg, while a 49-year-old man had sustained two gunshot wounds to the leg.
Both victims were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition.
Later that evening, James Lofton presented himself at the same hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the back.
Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he did not survive.
As of late Wednesday, no arrests have been made in connection with the triple shooting.
The Harrison Area detectives are actively investigating the case.

PolaBear Red Filmz owner Troy Hollingsworth killed in West Pullman shooting
CHICAGO โ A 37-year-old Chicago photographer was fatally shot Sunday night in the West Pullman neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The victim was identified as Troy Hollingsworth, owner of PolaBear Red Filmz.
Police said Hollingsworth was seated inside his Nissan Maxima in the 100 block of East 118th Place at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, when an unknown individual opened fire.
Hollingsworth was struck multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed.
At this time, no suspects are in custody, and detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Additional details have not been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
