The shooting occurred in an alley near the intersection, which has since been designated as a crime scene.

Following the shooting, a female driver—described as wearing a black coat and blue jeans—attempted to transport Davis to a hospital.

However, the vehicle crashed near Flournoy Street and Laramie Avenue, close to the I-290 expressway ramp.

After the crash, the driver fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on Flournoy Street. Her identity remains unknown, and law enforcement is actively seeking information about her whereabouts.

Despite efforts to save him, Damario Davis was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

The Chicago Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation, with detectives collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses. The alley where the shooting took place remains cordoned off as part of the inquiry.

ALBANY, GA – A 21-year-old Eugene Barber has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of Chelsea Milledge inside a residence on Wednesday, January 22, authorities confirmed.Officers from the Albany Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 900 block of Holloway Avenue.

Officers from the Albany Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 900 block of Holloway Avenue.

Upon arrival, they discovered a female victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim, later identified as 33-year-old Chelsea Milledge, was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery for her injuries.

Following information obtained at the scene, officers were able to identify and locate a suspect, 21-year-old Eugene Barber, who was taken into custody for questioning.

After conducting a thorough investigation, authorities determined that multiple children were present in the residence at the time of the shooting; however, they were unharmed.

Tragically, despite medical efforts, Milledge succumbed to her injuries Thursday morning.

Barber now faces multiple charges in connection with the incident, including:

  • Murder
  • Home Invasion (1st Degree)
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet disclosed a possible motive.
