2 People Uninjured in Helicopter Crash in Amboy
Clark County, WA – Authorities are investigating a helicopter crash that occurred Monday evening in the Amboy area of Clark County.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) received reports of the incident at approximately 6:09 p.m., with the crash site located near 449th Street and NE Yale Bridge Road.
Emergency personnel from Fire District 10 responded quickly to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews confirmed that the helicopter’s two occupants had successfully exited the aircraft without injury.
Despite the fortunate outcome, firefighters identified a significant fuel leak originating from the wreckage.
Out of an abundance of caution and to mitigate environmental risks, the Washington State Department of Ecology was notified and is now involved in managing the fuel spill.
Both the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have been informed of the incident and will be conducting a full investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
Deputies with the CCSO remain on scene to secure the area and will maintain control until it is officially turned over to federal investigators.

Train Derails in Ferguson Involving Vehicles, Hazmat Team Called Over Ethyl Alcohol Rail Car
FERGUSON, Mo. — A train derailment involving vehicles prompted an emergency response in Ferguson on Ferguson Avenue, where authorities requested a hazardous materials team after determining that one of the train cars contained ethyl alcohol.
Emergency units were dispatched to 617 Ferguson Avenue after reports of the rail incident. Responders found a train that had derailed with vehicles involved.
Officials confirmed there was no reported entrapment. Crews were checking the scene for injuries and evaluating those involved in the incident.
A Hazmat response was requested because one rail car involved in the derailment was carrying ethyl alcohol. Emergency crews were assessing the rail car for any potential leak or hazardous condition and working to secure the area.
The presence of ethyl alcohol prompted additional safety precautions while responders examined the derailed train and surrounding vehicles.
At this time, authorities have not released details about possible injuries, the cause of the derailment or the extent of damage.
