1 dead after shooting near Red lake apartments in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon on the city’s Southside, marking the second deadly shooting in less than 24 hours.
Officers responded to the scene on the 2100 block of South Cedar Avenue, near the Red Lake apartment complex adjacent to the Minneapolis American Indian Center, where one person was found dead.
The victim has been identified as Tc Pipeboy.

According to information from an unencrypted police transmission, the suspect vehicle was reportedly driven by an individual wearing a light blue hoodie.
The vehicle was said to be occupied by at least two additional young males and is believed to be an older-model silver Chevrolet Impala, possibly missing its rear bumper.
As of Wednesday evening, a somber crowd had begun to gather in the lobby of the Red Lake apartment building, with community members expressing concern over the ongoing violence in the area.
This latest incident comes on the heels of a mass shooting late Tuesday night in the Phillips neighborhood near 25th Street and Bloomington Avenue, which left three people dead and two others critically injured.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara stated during a press conference that the Tuesday night shooting appears to have been targeted and potentially gang-related.
The proximity and timing of the two shootings have heightened tensions across the city’s Southside, though it remains unclear at this time whether the two incidents are connected.
Minneapolis police continue to investigate both cases and have not announced any arrests.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about either shooting to contact law enforcement or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
