Erubey Medina and Daniel Millian killed after mass shooting at Leinbach Park in Winston-Salem
The Winston-Salem Police Department is actively investigating a mass shooting that occurred earlier today at Leinbach Park, leaving two teenagers dead and several others injured.
According to officials, officers were initially dispatched at approximately 9:52 a.m. in response to reports of a fight in progress at the park. While en route, responding units received updated information indicating that gunfire had erupted and multiple individuals had been struck.
Preliminary findings suggest the incident stemmed from a pre-arranged confrontation involving juveniles.
Authorities believe that when the groups met at the park, the situation escalated rapidly, culminating in an exchange of gunfire among multiple individuals.
Upon arrival, officers observed numerous people fleeing the scene. In the park’s parking lot, officers located a 17-year-old male, identified as Erubey Romero Medina, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second victim, identified as 16-year-old Daniel Jimenez Millian, was found further inside the park, also suffering from a gunshot wound. He, too, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Additional victims were later located in the parking lot of 3474 Robinhood Road.
Authorities reported that these individuals sustained gunshot wounds ranging in severity from critical to minor injuries.
The injured include a 14-year-old female, a 15-year-old female, a 17-year-old female, an 18-year-old male, and a 19-year-old female.
In accordance with North Carolina law, the identities of the juvenile victims are not being released.
The names of the adult victims are also being withheld at this time pending further investigation into their potential involvement in the incident.
Officials confirmed that a total of seven individuals were struck by gunfire.
Detectives are continuing to assess the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are working to determine the role each individual may have played.
Early information indicates that some of those who were injured may have also been involved in the exchange of gunfire.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities emphasized that information will be released as it is confirmed and urged the public to avoid spreading unverified details.

14-Year-Old Middleton High School Student Carson Chrapkowski Dies After Bicycle Crash, Driver Alyssa Anderson Arrested
MIDDLETON, Idaho — A 14-year-old Middleton High School student has died after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle near the high school Friday night, according to the Middleton Police Department.
The teenager was transported by Life Flight to St. Luke’s Boise following the crash but died from his injuries early Saturday morning.
Middleton police said the crash involved a vehicle and a bicyclist near Middleton High School. The 14-year-old suffered critical injuries and was flown to a Boise hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Police announced Saturday morning that the young bicyclist had succumbed to his injuries.
The teen was identified in the information provided for this report as Carson Chrapkowski, a Middleton High School student. However, the police department’s public statement did not release the teenager’s name.
Police arrested 41-year-old Alyssa Louise Anderson in connection with the crash. Anderson was booked into the Canyon County Jail.
According to police, Anderson is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter, aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the collision or the specific allegations supporting the DUI charge.
The crash remains under investigation by the Middleton Police Department and Idaho State Police. Investigators have not released further information about the sequence of events or whether additional charges could be filed.
