15-Year-Old Javits Frimpong Fatally Shot in the Bronx: Family and Community Mourn a Devastating Loss
A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken the Bronx community after 15-year-old Javits Frimpong lost his life in a shooting Thursday morning near East 171st Street and Third Avenue, less than a block from Crotona Park in the Claremont neighborhood. The devastating incident reportedly occurred close to his own home, turning an ordinary morning into an unimaginable nightmare for his family, friends, and loved ones.
Javits was just 15 years old. He was a son, a student, and a young boy whose future was filled with possibilities. Described by his grieving father as a quiet child who loved school, he was at an age when he should have been focused on his education, friendships, dreams, and the exciting opportunities that lay ahead. Instead, his life was tragically cut short by an act of violence that has left an entire community searching for answers.
According to reports, Javits suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach and was later pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries. The circumstances surrounding the shooting have raised serious concerns, particularly after surveillance footage reportedly captured a disturbing sequence of events. The video allegedly shows Javits running while being chased by an individual dressed in black before collapsing a short distance away.
Authorities are reportedly searching for at least two suspects in connection with the deadly shooting. As of the latest information provided, no arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Amid the overwhelming grief, Javits’ father, Thomas Frimpong, has shared a heartbreaking concern about what may have happened before his son’s death.
According to his father’s account, Javits had reportedly complained about being bullied by a classmate at school. The situation allegedly resulted in two students being suspended. Thomas now fears that his son’s killing may have been connected to possible retaliation.
However, investigators have not confirmed any connection between the reported bullying incident and the fatal shooting. The circumstances and possible motive remain under investigation.
Remembering his son, Thomas described him as a quiet and well-behaved child, emphasizing that his school could speak to his character.
“The school can testify my son is always quiet. Always,” he said.
In an especially painful moment, Thomas explained that it was Javits’ school principal who had to deliver the devastating news of his son’s death. No parent should ever have to receive such a call, and no family should have to endure the unimaginable pain of losing a child so young.
As the investigation continues, Javits’ family, religious leaders, friends, and members of the local community are coming together to honor his memory.
A candlelight vigil is being planned for Friday evening, offering an opportunity for those who knew Javits and those deeply affected by this tragedy to gather, remember his life, share their grief, and support his devastated family.
The gathering will serve as a reminder that behind every heartbreaking headline is a real person whose life mattered — a young boy with a family who loved him, friends who cared about him, and a future that should never have been taken away.
Javits Frimpong was only 15. He deserved the opportunity to grow up, finish school, pursue his dreams, experience life’s milestones, and create countless beautiful memories with the people he loved.
His family is now left with painful memories, unanswered questions, and a loss that words cannot adequately describe. His classmates have lost a peer, his friends have lost someone they knew, and his father has lost a beloved son.
No family should have to bury a child. No teenager should have to lose his life to gun violence. And no community should have to gather around another candlelight vigil for a young life taken too soon.
May the investigation bring answers and accountability, and may Javits’ family find strength and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
Rest peacefully, Javits Frimpong. Your life mattered, your memory will live on, and you will never be forgotten. 🕊️🤍
Sending heartfelt condolences, prayers, and deepest sympathies to Thomas Frimpong, the entire Frimpong family, Javits’ friends, classmates, teachers, and everyone in the Bronx community mourning this heartbreaking loss. 💔🙏

Bianca “Bibi” Ramirez Killed in Suspected Murder-Suicide Involving Estranged Husband Axel Ramirez After Texas Police Chase
CRESSON, Texas — Bianca Elizabeth “Bibi” Ramirez, a 34-year-old Burleson woman who had recently graduated from nursing school, and her estranged husband, Axel Ramirez, died following a reported kidnapping and police pursuit that ended near Bourland Field Airport in Cresson, Texas, on Thursday morning, October 29, 2026.
Authorities are investigating the deaths as a suspected murder-suicide after the pair were found inside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds, according to information released by police.
The incident began at approximately 7:45 a.m. in the 700 block of West Hidden Creek Parkway in Burleson, when officers received reports of an armed man. Witnesses reportedly saw a man with a woman before he allegedly forced her into a vehicle.
Police said the individuals were estranged spouses and may initially have met for what was intended to be a civil conversation.
The woman was identified as Bianca Elizabeth Ramirez, 34, of Burleson by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Additional information shared after family notification identified her as “Bibi” Ramirez. According to that account, she had recently graduated from nursing school and had begun a new relationship.
Her death has left family members and loved ones grieving a woman who had recently reached an important milestone in her professional life.
Police Chief Billy Cordell said during a Thursday afternoon news conference that the woman managed to contact police from inside the vehicle after she was allegedly taken against her will. However, she was not heard speaking during the 911 call.
The man involved in the incident was identified in the updated account as Axel Ramirez, Bianca’s estranged husband.
According to police, the driver left the area after the reported kidnapping and traveled south along Texas 174 and Wilshire Boulevard. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to comply, prompting a pursuit.
The chase continued toward Chisholm Trail Parkway and ended more than 34 minutes later near Bourland Field Airport in Cresson, Parker County.
Responding officers found both individuals dead inside the vehicle. Authorities said preliminary findings indicated a suspected murder-suicide.
Police also confirmed that no responding law enforcement officers fired shots during the incident.
The Burleson Police Department received assistance from several agencies during the pursuit, including the Johnson County, Parker County and Tarrant County sheriff’s offices, the Fort Worth Police Department’s Air 1 helicopter unit and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the reported kidnapping, the pursuit and the fatal shooting.
Burleson Police Chief Billy Cordell said neither the Burleson nor Mansfield police departments had previously received domestic-violence-related calls involving the couple. The pair reportedly moved from Mansfield to Burleson in August.
Authorities have not publicly released every detail surrounding the events that led to the deaths.
One of the most heartbreaking aspects of the tragedy is the couple’s two daughters, ages 14 and 9, who are now staying with extended family.
The children have lost both parents in a single incident, leaving relatives to navigate the immediate aftermath while supporting them through an extraordinarily difficult time.
The case has also prompted renewed concern about the devastating consequences that can arise in situations involving separation, conflict and alleged violence. Anyone experiencing a crisis or concerned about their safety is encouraged to seek help from trusted people or appropriate support services.
Authorities continue to investigate the deaths of Bianca “Bibi” Ramirez and Axel Ramirez. Police have described the incident as a suspected murder-suicide based on preliminary findings.
The investigation follows a reported kidnapping in Burleson and a police pursuit that crossed into Parker County before ending near Bourland Field Airport in Cresson.
As loved ones mourn the deaths and care for the couple’s two daughters, additional information may be released as investigators establish the full circumstances of the case.
