3 killed in shooting outside Louisville DMV branch

Louisville, KY – Three people were killed in a shooting at a Driver Licensing Regional Office in Valley Station on Friday afternoon, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).
Authorities stated that officers responded to reports of a shooting around 12:00 p.m. in the 6200 block of Willismore Drive, near Dixie Highway.
Upon arrival, officers discovered three victims down outside the building.
A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while two female victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
LMPD officials have not yet confirmed whether the shooting occurred inside or outside the facility.
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing an individual fleeing the area, though police have not released details on any potential suspects or motive.
Major Donald Boeckman of the LMPD stated that authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public, but did not provide further clarification.

Officials believe at least 2 law enforcement officers were injured in shooting at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, Pennsylvania.

West Manchester Township, PA – Law enforcement officers have responded to a shooting incident at UPMC Memorial Hospital in West Manchester Township, York County.
According to Ted Czech, public information officer for the York County Office of Emergency Management/York County 911, the initial 911 call reporting an active threat at the hospital was received at 10:43 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Police swiftly responded to the scene, and officials have since confirmed that the threat has been neutralized.
Officials believe at least 2 law enforcement officers were injured in shooting.
A mobile command unit has been established outside the hospital, and law enforcement is actively investigating the incident.
A UPMC Memorial official released the following statement:
“We have received confirmed reports of a gunman at UPMC Memorial, and shots fired. The gunman is deceased, and no patients have been injured. The hospital is now secure. Law enforcement is on premises and is managing the situation. If you are an employee of UPMC Memorial and are not scheduled to work today, please stay home. A hotline has been established at 717-849-5338 or 717-849-5334 for families of patients seeking more information. Families of patients arriving on site should report to the parking lot of the OSS building across the street from the hospital.”
Despite the suspect being neutralized, law enforcement continues to monitor the hospital premises to ensure public safety.
Officials have not yet released details regarding the suspect, possible motives, or the total number of casualties.
As authorities conduct their investigation, a West Manchester Fire Department captain has advised journalists and bystanders to remain at a safe distance from the facility, as emergency teams continue securing the area.
