Video Captures Deadly Grays Ferry Shooting in Philadelphia That Left 3 Dead, 10 Injured

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are investigating a deadly mass shooting that claimed the lives of three people and left 10 others injured in the Grays Ferry neighborhood of South Philadelphia early Monday morning.
The incident unfolded just before 1:00 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Etting Street.
Philadelphia police say officers were already in the vicinity responding to a separate call when they heard gunfire erupt nearby.
Upon arrival, they discovered multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately began rendering aid.
In total, 13 individuals were injured, including three who were pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased have been identified as men aged 19, 23, and 24.
A 14th person sustained injuries while fleeing the scene but was not struck by gunfire and was transported to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment.
The ages of the shooting victims range from 15 to 24 years old. Among the wounded are a 15-year-old girl and two 17-year-old boys.
A 19-year-old man remains in critical condition, while the remaining victims, all between the ages of 18 and 24, are expected to survive.
Newly surfaced video from the scene shows the chaotic moments during the shootout, with numerous gunshots echoing through the densely populated residential block.
Investigators believe multiple individuals opened fire indiscriminately into homes and vehicles, showing no regard for the people nearby—including children.
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel condemned the violence in strong terms. “This is cowardly, wannabe thug stuff,” he said. “Shooting randomly into houses, into cars, on a street where children are present—it’s hard to understand.”
Police transported eight of the 13 victims to area hospitals.
Most were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where a heavy police presence and crowds of concerned relatives were gathered early Monday morning.
Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the shooting.

14-Year-Old Middleton High School Student Carson Chrapkowski Dies After Bicycle Crash, Driver Alyssa Anderson Arrested
MIDDLETON, Idaho — A 14-year-old Middleton High School student has died after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle near the high school Friday night, according to the Middleton Police Department.
The teenager was transported by Life Flight to St. Luke’s Boise following the crash but died from his injuries early Saturday morning.
Middleton police said the crash involved a vehicle and a bicyclist near Middleton High School. The 14-year-old suffered critical injuries and was flown to a Boise hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Police announced Saturday morning that the young bicyclist had succumbed to his injuries.
The teen was identified in the information provided for this report as Carson Chrapkowski, a Middleton High School student. However, the police department’s public statement did not release the teenager’s name.
Police arrested 41-year-old Alyssa Louise Anderson in connection with the crash. Anderson was booked into the Canyon County Jail.
According to police, Anderson is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter, aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the collision or the specific allegations supporting the DUI charge.
The crash remains under investigation by the Middleton Police Department and Idaho State Police. Investigators have not released further information about the sequence of events or whether additional charges could be filed.
