23-Year-Old Sarah Desautell Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Mayes County
Sarah Desautell, a 23-year-old woman from Pryor, Oklahoma, died Sunday evening following a single-vehicle crash in Mayes County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred shortly before 8 p.m. along County Road E620 in rural Mayes County.
Investigators said Desautell was traveling westbound when, for reasons still under investigation, her vehicle left the roadway.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the vehicle first struck a fence before continuing forward and crashing into a tree.
The vehicle eventually came to rest off the roadway following the impact.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Desautell suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
Authorities stated that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
Investigators have not yet released additional details regarding what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway, and officials have not indicated whether speed, impairment, weather conditions, or other contributing factors may have played a role in the crash.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal single-vehicle accident.

Train Derails in Ferguson Involving Vehicles, Hazmat Team Called Over Ethyl Alcohol Rail Car
FERGUSON, Mo. โ A train derailment involving vehicles prompted an emergency response in Ferguson on Ferguson Avenue, where authorities requested a hazardous materials team after determining that one of the train cars contained ethyl alcohol.
Emergency units were dispatched to 617 Ferguson Avenue after reports of the rail incident. Responders found a train that had derailed with vehicles involved.
Officials confirmed there was no reported entrapment. Crews were checking the scene for injuries and evaluating those involved in the incident.
A Hazmat response was requested because one rail car involved in the derailment was carrying ethyl alcohol. Emergency crews were assessing the rail car for any potential leak or hazardous condition and working to secure the area.
The presence of ethyl alcohol prompted additional safety precautions while responders examined the derailed train and surrounding vehicles.
At this time, authorities have not released details about possible injuries, the cause of the derailment or the extent of damage.
The investigation and emergency response remain ongoing in Ferguson, and officials are expected to provide additional information once the scene has been fully assessed.
