Officers responded to the QuikTrip convenience store following reports of a domestic disturbance involving the victim.
When first responders arrived, they found Amber Pippin suffering from serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
Despite emergency medical efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities have identified Tyler Kendrick as the suspect in the case.
Police confirmed that Kendrick has been taken into custody without further incident.
As of now, investigators have not released additional details regarding the events leading up to the fatal incident or any formal charges that may be filed.
The Collinsville Police Department said the investigation remains active and ongoing.

A devastating tragedy has shaken Gainesville, Florida, after two men lost their lives in a deadly shooting near the University of Florida campus during the early morning hours of Sunday, November 1.
At approximately 3:59 a.m., gunfire shattered the quiet streets near the 1100 block of West University Avenue, leaving two families grieving the loss of their loved ones. One of the victims has been identified as Aaron Grace, also known as Abo Grace. The second victim has not yet been publicly identified, but his life and loss are equally significant.
What began as an alleged confrontation outside a local business ended in unimaginable heartbreak, leaving friends, relatives, and members of the Gainesville community searching for answers.
According to the Gainesville Police Department, officers were patrolling the area when they heard gunshots and observed a 29-year-old man, identified as Trevez Ravell McRae, running from the parking lot of a Chevron gas station.
Police reported that McRae allegedly dropped a handgun near the intersection of University Avenue and Southwest 10th Street before surrendering to officers.
As officers investigated the scene, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds in separate nearby locations. One victim was found near West University Avenue and Northwest 10th Street, while the other was located outside a business at 1010 West University Avenue.
Both victims were immediately transported to UF Health Shands Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
