19-year-old Kallen Omen Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash Near Main Avenue in Bismarck
BISMARCK, N.D. — Authorities are continuing to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of 19-year-old Kallen Omen of Sheyenne, North Dakota, on Main Avenue in Bismarck late Tuesday night.
According to the Bismarck Police Department, the deadly collision occurred at approximately 9:14 p.m. near the intersection of Main Avenue and West Rosser Avenue.
Investigators said Kallen Omen was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Main Avenue when the bike collided with the rear passenger side of a Ford pickup truck.
The pickup was being driven by 19-year-old Braxton Dollinger of Bismarck.
Police reported that Dollinger had been stopped before proceeding northeast from Main Avenue onto Rosser Avenue when the crash occurred.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the collision, but Omen suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic officers with the Bismarck Police Department responded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
Authorities stated that the investigation remains active as officers continue to review evidence and follow up on investigative leads.
At this time, officials have not determined whether any traffic violations or contributing factors played a role in the collision.
The fatal crash caused significant disruption in the area as investigators processed the scene and gathered evidence.
No additional injuries were immediately reported.

Train Derails in Ferguson Involving Vehicles, Hazmat Team Called Over Ethyl Alcohol Rail Car
FERGUSON, Mo. — A train derailment involving vehicles prompted an emergency response in Ferguson on Ferguson Avenue, where authorities requested a hazardous materials team after determining that one of the train cars contained ethyl alcohol.
Emergency units were dispatched to 617 Ferguson Avenue after reports of the rail incident. Responders found a train that had derailed with vehicles involved.
Officials confirmed there was no reported entrapment. Crews were checking the scene for injuries and evaluating those involved in the incident.
A Hazmat response was requested because one rail car involved in the derailment was carrying ethyl alcohol. Emergency crews were assessing the rail car for any potential leak or hazardous condition and working to secure the area.
