22-Year-Old Dylan Stamour Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on I-395 Northbound in Norwich
NORWICH, Conn. — A 22-year-old Norwich man was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 395 northbound, according to emergency officials and the Connecticut State Police.
The victim was identified as Dylan Chace Stamour, 22, of Norwich.
Firefighters with the Norwich Firefighters Local 892 said crews were dispatched at approximately 2:58 a.m. on May 17, 2026, to the area of I-395 northbound near Exit 11 following reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision.
Officials said troopers with the Connecticut State Police arrived first at the scene and immediately began CPR on the victim, with fire personnel later taking over lifesaving efforts.
Stamour was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash.
Emergency responders also shut down the Route 82 on-ramp to I-395 northbound while crews worked at the scene and investigators assessed the roadway.
Authorities confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details have been released at this time regarding the circumstances of the collision.
The Connecticut State Police continues to investigate the fatal pedestrian crash on Interstate 395.

Train Derails in Ferguson Involving Vehicles, Hazmat Team Called Over Ethyl Alcohol Rail Car
FERGUSON, Mo. — A train derailment involving vehicles prompted an emergency response in Ferguson on Ferguson Avenue, where authorities requested a hazardous materials team after determining that one of the train cars contained ethyl alcohol.
Emergency units were dispatched to 617 Ferguson Avenue after reports of the rail incident. Responders found a train that had derailed with vehicles involved.
Officials confirmed there was no reported entrapment. Crews were checking the scene for injuries and evaluating those involved in the incident.
A Hazmat response was requested because one rail car involved in the derailment was carrying ethyl alcohol. Emergency crews were assessing the rail car for any potential leak or hazardous condition and working to secure the area.
The presence of ethyl alcohol prompted additional safety precautions while responders examined the derailed train and surrounding vehicles.
At this time, authorities have not released details about possible injuries, the cause of the derailment or the extent of damage.
